Eduardo leads McKinsey’s capital excellence division for Mexico and Latin America. He supports clients across the entire life cycle of capital projects, from strategy and capital allocation to financing and project optimization. Eduardo serves major construction organizations, industrial groups, infrastructure operators, financial institutions, multilateral organizations, and public sector entities.
Eduardo’s engagements span most of the infrastructure sector, including transportation, energy, water, social infrastructure, health, public spaces, and smart cities. He also supports multinational corporations in optimizing their capex expenditure. Most recently, he has been supporting industrial groups in deploying investments in Mexico to leverage the nearshoring momentum.
Examples of his recent client work include:
- supporting a major multinational company in the food industry to optimize its capital expenditure process end to end
- defining a strategy to deploy sustainable biofuels at a national level, including the investment portfolio
- helping a major housing developer shape its ten-year strategy by strengthening core activities and expanding into new markets and products
- creating a project portfolio in transport infrastructure to maximize Mexico’s nearshoring potential
- supporting a country on its national infrastructure plan, defining the project portfolio and developing and financing scheme
- conducting an end-to-end capital expenditure diagnostic and providing recommendations for a consumer packaged goods company, identifying significant cost savings
- delivering diagnostics and recommendations to reduce time and cost deviations in a large liquefied natural gas project
