Angus has more than 20 years of experience in the consumer and retail space, serving as both a senior executive in operating roles and consulting for local and global companies. He focuses primarily on growth topics, leveraging his experience in digital and e-commerce, merchandising, and business transformation. He leads the Consumer Practice in McKinsey’s Toronto office.

Examples of Angus’ recent client work include:

  • guiding the development of the blueprint, operating model, and execution plan of several leading third-party e-commerce marketplaces for large retailers from conception to launch
  • directing a series of growth initiatives with a global retailer to accelerate their e-commerce and third-party marketplace top line and profitability
  • developing and executing a set of strategic initiatives with a leading retailer to transform and accelerate their private label program
  • redefining the pricing and promotional strategy for a leading e-commerce marketplace
  • helping lead an effort to accelerate Scope 3 sustainability tracking and action planning between a major global retail and its supply base
  • guiding the transformation of a merchandising function as part of a broader retail transformation

Before joining McKinsey, Angus was a senior executive at several leading Canadian retailers in merchandising and digital roles. He was a leader in the consumer practice of another global consulting firm.
