Anton is the leader of the firm’s work in the banking sector in Ukraine and a member of McKinsey’s Digital, Analytics, and Public & Social Sector Practices. He also has experience in oil, natural gas, electric power, steel, and manufacturing. Although based in Kyiv, and focused on Central Europe, Anton also serves clients across Eurasia, North America, and Africa.
Anton’s client engagement topics have included large-scale transformations—primarily in banking, digitization, and implementation of advanced analytics to improve operational performance and marketing and sales—growth and business-unit strategies, public-sector reforms, risk management, and transactions, among others. For example, Anton helped a Central-European bank implement a competitive digital-attacker unit. He has also helped develop market reforms and short-term safety nets for millions of households; market scenarios, business models, and roadmaps for banks; and growth-opportunity assessments in banks’ corporate, retail, and small-and-medium-sized businesses.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Anton attracted multi-million-dollar foreign direct investment to cofound startups in retail, food delivery, and real estate. Serving as CEO or general manager, he built original business models from scratch, developed processes and organizations to support them, and managed successful exits or divestures.
Formerly an avid poker player, Anton gave up the card table for wine tasting. He now works off the wine calories with long-distance running.
