Chandra is the director of the Chennai and Bengaluru Client Capabilities Hubs where he seeks to set strategy and increase growth by fostering a culture of innovation among capabilities and client priorities.

He joined the firm in 2002 as a junior researcher and progressed to the role of specialist, working with key clients across the globe on technology topics. From there, he moved to his current role in leading our client capabilities hubs.

Chandra was instrumental in setting up the Chennai and Bengaluru hubs, and has helped develop and scale our client capabilities, while inspiring a culture of diverse and cutting-edge teamwork. He currently leads more than 250 colleagues across the two hubs, who focus on research and analytics. He is responsible for the hubs’ direction and works with colleagues to help them author their own McKinsey journeys.

Chandra also leads one of the firm’s largest geographic research teams, which serves clients across Asia on a range of topics. In this role, he has helped transform the geographic research function in Asia and also helped establish a dedicated team to serve clients in Australia. Before joining the firm, he worked as a programmer for a boutique software consulting company.
