Dan Svoboda

Managing Partner of McKinsey’s Central Europe office

Dan is the managing partner of McKinsey’s Central Europe Office, having previously been the Managing Partner of the Prague office between 2016 and 2023.

Dan joined McKinsey & Company in May 2000. During his more than two decades with the firm, Dan has worked across sectors including financial services, telecommunications, energy, heavy industry, and private equity in Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. His focus is on growing, internationally expanding and building businesses and improving performance through end-to-end transformations

On a more personal note, Dan is very passionate about McKinsey values and ethical ways of working – within the firm he is recognized as one of the “Guardians of Health” and was a member of the firm’s global Values Committee. Dan is also an avid hockey player who strongly believes in the synergy between athletics and academics, a cause he is helping to advance in Central Europe.
