Joshan is a leader in McKinsey’s TMT (Telecom, Media & Tech) Practice and QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey. He serves high tech, software, and telecom companies primarily on AI-centric strategy and transformation.

In addition to his client work, Joshan helps shape McKinsey’s thought leadership on AI topics, including “AI-native” telcos, the impact of gen AI on the software industry, and digital twins. He coleads McKinsey’s work in AI for the telecom sector globally and helps manage the firm’s relationships with emerging gen AI companies.

Joshan’s recent work includes the following examples:

  • leading a software company’s AI and gen AI transformation, working with the C-suite to create a strategy and technical blueprint and drive use case development
  • driving the development of enterprise-wide AI strategies for multiple telcos globally
  • supporting a leading telco in scaling its gen AI tools to thousands of employees and creating a foundational and reusable AI platform
  • shaping the value proposition and go-to-market strategy of a software provider’s gen AI offerings
  • supporting the creation of a new data and AI business line for a cloud services provider

Joshan is a passionate technologist and has been a featured speaker at AI, telecom, and software conferences and industry events. He is currently based in New York but has previously been part of McKinsey’s Middle East and Africa offices.
