His areas of expertise include business strategy, performance turnaround, operations, supply chain management, strategic negotiations, and technology innovation.
Examples of his recent work include the following:
- driving a digital and analytics-led procurement transformation at one of the largest pharmacos in the world with focus on direct materials, doubling the savings pipeline and coaching more than 200 strong procurement organisations in new ways of working
- driving operations and supply chain transformation at one of the largest carve-outs in the European generics space focused on ensuring supply assurance and delivering a 20 percent cost out program
- leading a capital strategy and allocation project for a leading private-label healthcare company to streamline and right size its long-term capacity pipeline, define the capital-allocation process, and refine capacity-planning processes
- conducting a strategy review for a leading pharma distributor to identify and drive performance improvements in the new regulatory environment
Ketan is passionate about working with his clients to drive performance improvements in a fast-changing pharmaceutical ecosystem. Prior to joining McKinsey, Ketan worked for more than six years across various roles in industry, including five years at Unilever working in supply chain and procurement in Asia and Latin America. He is a chemical engineer by training and has an MBA in strategy and operations.
