Patrick serves as the global colead and North American leader of McKinsey’s Social Sector, Healthcare, & Public Sector Entities Practice. For more than 20 years, Patrick has served clients across industries, with a particular focus on service and technology businesses in the healthcare and financial services sectors. He has sponsored multiple healthcare analytics capabilities, including McKinsey Actuarial Analytics, the pharmacy domain, the commercial insurance domain, and the payment integrity domain. He previously served as managing partner of McKinsey’s Detroit location and chair of the client committee and risk function for McKinsey’s Social, Health, and Public Sector Entities Practice.

Patrick is also active in the Michigan community, where he is a board member of Business Leaders for Michigan, and has led pro bono efforts focused on Michigan’s economic development. Additionally, he serves as chair of the National Advisory Board for the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the University of Michigan. For nearly 25 years, he also served as chair of the alumni association of the University of Michigan Men’s Rowing Team.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Patrick earned his PhD, MSE, and BSE in naval architecture and marine engineering from the University of Michigan, where he was a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellow. He resides in Michigan with his wife and children.
