Taro is the Japan leader of Leap by McKinsey, the service line for business building at McKinsey. He also co-leads Build by McKinsey, which is the Firm’s technology delivery people unit, and McKinsey Design, the Design people unit.
He works extensively with technology services providers, media agencies, and platformers as they undergo strategy and operational transformations, develop and execute growth plans, and incubate new businesses. He also focuses on McKinsey’s growth partnerships with the startups and the venture capital funds in the region.
From 2018 to 2019, Taro worked for one of the world’s largest technology-investment firms as the advisor to the management team, and he led the launch of the fund’s portfolio group to accelerate the value creation of its unicorn investments in the United States, China, and India.
