Tomás is a senior partner in McKinsey’s Madrid office. He is part of the leadership teams for the Implementation, Operations, and the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practices. Tomás is the coordinator of Aberkyn—a McKinsey company focused on leadership capacity development and training of high-performance executive teams. He has also been a member of the McKinsey governance review task force.
Tomás has 27 years of experience advising leading institutions on their transformations, particularly in the technology and telecommunications sectors, and has also worked in energy and banking.
Tomás has helped define global strategy and corporate transformation programs, and identify their organizational implications. His experience includes defining global organizations for multinational corporations and integration process support for companies in Europe and Latin America.
With extensive experience in operations, Tomás has helped clients implement new operating models, applying lean methodologies to achieve significant improvements in cost and customer experience. He has ample experience in overall efficiency improvement programs in complex organizations and has led high-impact functional transformations in the commercial, technological, IT, and back-office areas.
Recently, Tomás has also helped several institutions understand the implications of digital and analytics in their operations and define agile organizational models to accelerate their transformation.
Tomás has collaborated extensively in pro-bono work for several foundations in Spain and is a member of the executive board of SERES—which aims to promote social purpose and impact in the corporate world. He is also passionate about education as a key enabler for progress, and has participated in different projects with McKinsey’s teams in the education space.
