Yiping brings over 18 years of diverse experience in new business development, venture capital, private equity investment, product management, and scaling companies across Asia. She specializes in guiding companies from inception to significant revenue generation, with a focus on sectors such as consumer, technology, media, & telecommunications (TMT), fintech, electric mobility, and corporate venturing.
Examples of Yiping’s recent client work include the following:
- helping lead a market study and due diligence for a potential merger and acquisition by a large global private equity client
- developing the strategy and business roadmap of an electric mobility spin-off by a major transport and mobility company
- working with a leading Southeast Asian venture capital firm to enhance funding strategies and help portfolio companies to scale and optimize pricing
- supporting the development of a technology-enabled business and helping to set goals for a major global leader in robotics and automation by assisting in the training of their personnel, integrating an agile and entrepreneurial culture into a corporate environment, and developing new business opportunities
- designing and implementing a corporate venture accelerator for a state-owned enterprise (SOE)
- collaborating with a leading regional food wholesaler and distributor to help support the establishment, operation, and scaling of an end-to-end B2B ecommerce omnichannel platform
Before joining McKinsey, Yiping served as a partner at a Southeast Asian venture capital fund and held leadership roles in ecommerce marketplace development and board memberships across various industries.
