Serves emerging market clients on commercial growth topics in the telecommunications and financial services sectors

Mandisa is a partner in McKinsey’s Johannesburg office. She coleads our Telecommunications, Media & Technology Practice and the Growth Marketing & Sales Practice.

Since joining McKinsey, Mandisa has helped advise companies in Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the United States. She focuses on telecommunications and financial services, working on strategy and commercial growth topics. She is particularly interested in helping telecom operators drive future growth beyond the core business by building and carving out new digital businesses.

Mandisa is passionate about the role that telecom operators and financial services institutions play in advancing internet connectivity and digital inclusion, especially in rural areas. Mandisa’s passion for her work stems from her upbringing in rural South Africa, where she experienced firsthand how a lack of access to the internet and digital services limits both individual lives and community advancement.

Before joining McKinsey, Mandisa worked as an engineer in South Africa and was a research fellow for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in the United States.
